The New York City Housing Authority's Law Department's Labor & Employee Relations unit proactively advises Human Resources and other business units on progressive discipline and represents NYCHA in disciplinary due process proceedings.

Under general supervision, with latitude for independent judgment and decision making, the responsibilities of the Agency Attorney 2 will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Investigate potential employee disciplinary matters and draft disciplinary charges.
- Interview witnesses and gather relevant documents in preparation for trials.
- Represent the Authority in employee disciplinary proceedings; settlement conferences; or disability hearings.
- Research/draft memoranda.
- Represent the Authority in appeals before the NYC Civil Service Commission.
- Provide legal analysis, advice and counsel to Human Resources and other Departments.
- Represent the Authority before administrative agencies or in State or Federal court.
Note: The selected candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality regarding all NYCHA proceedings. Part-time telework may be available after 90 days of employment.
